Researchers have found that stars (or planets) in the cosmic system experience “starquakes” that echo through their surfaces like tidal waves on Earth. The disclosure has been made by European Space Agency’s (Esa’s) Milky Way-planning Gaia mission.
These starquakes are strong to the point that they might change the state of a star, ESA said.
